Junior Cricket Update: Coaches, Training, and Registration!
The junior cricket program at Bentleigh Uniting Cricket Club is ready for another exciting season! Our young players are in great hands, guided by a passionate and experienced coaching team, including Cadell Duke and Rowan Theideman, who bring dedication and a wealth of knowledge to our under twelve program.
We’re also thrilled to have Harry Zaia leading the Under 16s, and Sam Boontjes coaching the Under 14s, both of whom are focused on helping players develop their skills while keeping the game fun and engaging for everyone involved.
If you haven’t registered yet, now is the perfect time! We’re welcoming new players across all age groups, whether your child is new to cricket or has been playing for a while. Our junior program is all about growth, teamwork, and creating lifelong cricket memories.
Rookies/U12 will be training on Tuesdays at 4:15 & U14/U16 on Thursdays at 4:15
Juniors will commence their season the weekend of the 11/12 of October, fixtures are to be confirmed
Teamlists have been confirmed, parents should have been added to their relative WhatsApp groupchat. If you have not been added to a groupchat please contact us.

Men’s Team Update: New Leadership and Season Kickoff
The Bentleigh Uniting Cricket Club men’s team is excited to kick off the new season under the leadership of our new captain/coach, Lukas Galanopoulos. With a fresh approach and a strong commitment to success, Lukas has been instrumental in preparing the squad for what promises to be a competitive season.
Our Longmuir Shield side will feature in a highly anticipated first-round match at home, facing off against Kingston Heath at 12:30 pm on Saturday, 12th October. The team has been training hard, and there’s a buzz around the club as we look to start the season with a big performance in front of our home crowd at Centenary Park.
With a blend of seasoned players and emerging talent, the team is poised for a strong showing this year. Come down to support the boys as they aim to set the tone for the rest of the season!
Women’s Team Update: A New Era Begins!
The Bentleigh Uniting Cricket Club is thrilled to launch its inaugural women’s team this season, marking a new chapter in our club’s proud history. Our women’s side is gearing up to make a strong impact, and the excitement is palpable as we welcome talented cricketers ready to showcase their skills on the field.
Among the standout players leading the charge are our co-captains. Kate Williamson, a key player transitioning from Omega Cricket Club, whose experience and leadership will be invaluable to the team. Joining her as co-captain is Sophie James, a fierce competitor known for her powerful hitting and sharp fielding, who brings a wealth of energy and commitment to the squad.
With the team’s debut match fast approaching, the women have been training hard, focusing on building chemistry and sharpening their skills. As they prepare to take the field for the first time, the entire club is behind them, ready to support and cheer them on.
