The Bentleigh Uniting 3 team pulled off a stellar performance against Hampton United 3 to secure victory, in this H Grade, round 14 match on 24 February 2024.

The game began with Hampton United 3 at the crease. A total score of 87 by Hampton highlighted their tussle with Bentleigh’s bowlers. Although their top-order batters contributed significantly, the middle order gave a minimal contribution. Captain Jacob Travers fought valiantly to top-score with 45 runs, complemented by David McCaig’s 15. However, the rest of the squad, including Grant Tweedie and Joseph Lynch, couldn’t match the same success.

Bentleigh’s bowling unit, led by Trent Cody (c), proved instrumental in containing the opposition with a disciplined and clinical display. Trent Cody managed to pick up 4 wickets and Michael Debono dismissed 3 batters, effectively targeting and dismantling Hampton’s middle order.
