YOUNG GUN GETS THE GONG!

Trent Cody and Hugo Ferdinand have been rewarded for outstanding seasons by the SECA at the association’s annual awards night.

Despite missing a third of the season, Trent was named in Longmuir Shield Team of the Year after making 397 runs at an average of 66.22. He also took 4 wickets at 37.

He also finished third in the Player of the Year award with nine votes:

While he didn’t snag a spot in the team of the year, Hugo also caught the eye of the umpires by polling six votes.

Whether he was opening the batting (192 runs at 24), or charging in with the new ball (22 wickets at 17.68), the sublimely talented all-rounder has clearly established himself in the upper echelon on players in the competition.

The future looks bright at Centenary with these two gifted cubs leading the pride.
